Delia Smith today took delivery of the new GEN-2 from Proton as the first retail customer in the UK. malaysia ni suka sgt buat keta muka sama,satria R3 ape beza banding muka wira,satria,putra.tukar la model depa sikit,kalu nak buat keta sport buat la macam bentuk lotus ker,mazdaRX-7,FTO<GTO baru cun,baru la orang kata betul-betul macam sport car.

I'm a Proton fan, though that my family don't quite like them at all due to the quality of the interior and other parts of the car in which they are not happy enough.
I don't own any Proton cars (just yet) but I do support the brand. I believe in Proton, they can do better in the future. Up and down they go, I'm still with them. I don't know, I'm just too loyal

That is why I still support Real Madrid, even though they kinda play very silly sometimes.
I truly support Proton. Just GO with the great work. Improvement takes time. Though it has been around about 20 years now in the business, they (Proton guys) should not let us down. I want to see something good about Proton. The looks are fine but I love when I saw some upgrades such as the new Gen.2 body kit; looks truly awesome. Looks isn't quite enough. I want the quality. It is possible to reach the quality level of such European cars.
Back to the new Tiara, yes, that one looks great. Proton musn't use too much of new kinds of names. Such as Toyota Camry or Honda Civic (Nissan Sentra for instance) these days, they still use the same old names with a few new name of their model available.
Safety is important and we all agree with this. But if you drive safely, then they'll be safety

It's more about psychology and I do believe the movie called Fast and Furious do affect Malaysian youngsters to upgrade their car and drive wild in the streets without knowing the limits.
I have to find a way to end this comment

Lastly, GO for it Proton...I'm with ya. Don't shut your ears when they throw muck at ya, such critics and all. Take it all as positive, to improve the Proton performance. I don't hate people who critics me. In fact, it helps me to better myself. I would like to see the improvements of Proton in the future. Not a try but DO stay...ALIVE!!!

yeah..good work!! awesome!!! but i want to remind proton please dont ignore the quality and safety.i know that proton give malaysian chances to have their own car. biarlah rakyat malaysia puas hati ngan ape yg dioeorg beli..come on la!!! dh 20 thn la...harap design je lawa tp accesories poor design...dare to change!!

Astonishing Gallery - PROTON SATRIA R3

Proton Motorsports Division

Proton To Unveil Satria R3 Soon

PROTON Holdings Bhd, through its newly established Motorsports Division, will be introducing the Satria R3 limited edition at the end of this month.

Division head Tengku Djan Ley Tengku Mahaleel said a total of 200 units of the hand-made Satria R3 would start production soon at the Proton factory in Shah Alam.

It will be priced similar to the Satria GTi, but the premium attached would be maintained through controls on parts and accessories, he told reporters in Shah Alam yesterday.

Djan was speaking at a press briefing to announce the Proton Motorsports Carnival, a travelling carnival that will kick off with a series of races and events at the Johor Circuit in Pasir Gudang early next month. The event will then move to the Sepang International Circuit at a yet to be confirmed date.

Djan said the limited editions of the Gen2 would also be introduced, followed by the launch of other new Proton models.

The Motorsports Division, established in August last year, is aimed at enhancing Protonâ€™s profile in the motor sports arena.

Djan said the Satria R3 would be branded with three Rs - Race, Rally and Research. He said the accessories and parts of the Satria R3 would be made available through selected dealers and directly from Proton.

Proton Holdings group chief executive officer Tengku Tan Sri Mahaleel Tengku Ariff said in a press release given out at the briefing that the main objective of the carnival was to complement existing motor-racing events in the country. (The Star - 03/09/2004)

Proton Keluar Edisi Terhad Tingkat Sukan Permotoran

PROTON Holdings Bhd (Proton) akan mengeluarkan edisi terhad dengan kod R3 bagi setiap model keluarannya bertujuan meningkatkan lagi imej dan pembabitan kereta Proton dalam sukan permotoran.

Varian R3 itu akan dikeluarkan secara buatan tangan oleh Bahagian Motorsport Proton, iaitu unit yang ditubuhkan khusus bagi mempromosikan sukan permotoran dan mengeluarkan kereta Proton eksklusif yang berprestasi tinggi dan sporty.

Bahagian berkenaan hanya akan mengeluarkan secara ekslusif 200 unit varian R3 bagi setiap model Proton.

Ketua Projek Khas Bahagian Motorsports Proton, Adian Yein Khalid, berkata model pertama Proton yang akan ditawarkan dengan varian R3, iaitu singkatan bagi Racing, Rally, Research ialah Satria.

Satria R3 itu akan dilancarkan pada Karnival Sukan Permotoran Proton yang akan diadakan di litar lumba Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru pada 1-3 Oktober ini.

Satria R3 itu nanti ialah penzahiran semula varian terbaik Satria GTi, dan ia akan dijual pada harga yang hampir sama dengan Satria GTi, katanya pada sidang media mengumumkan program Karnival Sukan Permotoran Proton di kilang utama Proton di Shah Alam, semalam.

Hadir sama Ketua Bahagian Motorsport Proton, Tengku Djan Ley Tengku Mahaleel dan Ketua Pemasaran Bahagian Motorsports, Khaidi Kamaruddin.

Pelancaran Satria R3 itu ialah antara acara utama karnival itu yang diadakan buat julung kalinya sebagai sebahagian usaha Proton meningkatkan minat rakyat Malaysia terhadap sukan permotoran.

Karnival yang disasarkan untuk disertai seisi keluarga itu dimeriahkan dengan pelbagai acara lain seperti perlumbaan kereta Proton, promosi dan jualan kereta Proton, promosi komponen dan alat ganti dan pelbagai pertandingan untuk pengunjung dengan hadiah keseluruhan bernilai RM50,000.

Karnival dengan konsep bergerak itu kemudiannya akan diadakan pula di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang, menjelang penghujung tahun ini.

Sementara itu, Khaidi berkata, Bahagian Motorsport Proton merancang mengeluarkan varian R3 bagi setiap model Proton untuk membolehkan peminat setia kereta nasional memiliki varian eksklusif, terhad dan berprestasi tinggi bagi model kegemaran mereka.

Tengku Djan Ley pula berkata, selain R3, Bahagian Motorsports Proton akan turut mengeluarkan komponen dan aksesori khas kereta Proton bagi meningkatkan kuasa dan prestasi.

Komponen dan aksesori berkenaan hanya akan dijual dijual di beberapa cawangan Proton Edar tertentu.

Bahagian Motorsports Proton juga, katanya akan membuka cawangan jualan khusus bagi varian R3, tetapi bilangannya adalah terhad bagi menjadikan varian itu benar-benar eksklusif. (Berita Harian - 03/09/2004)
